"Virgil was married to Delores Gilbert and farmed the family farm [2 mi. e. of Lakota]; he died in 1987. Their children are Rodney of Illinois; James and wife, Jody (Price) of Lakota; and twins Darla of Forest City, Iowa and David and wife, Renee, who currently farm the family farm."

Based on the obiit for Iona Aukes, it seems Gilbert is Delores' married name from a later marriage.
