"ANDREW MURRA

Andrew was born on April 5, 1905. He decided to come to the United States to avoid the forced military service in Germany and arrived in the States with his brother Jim in 1923. Andrew married Susan Bruhns, daughter of Fenno and Pearl (Drake) Bruhns on November 20, 1930. They became the parents of four children: Arvilla (Mrs. William Smidt), Artis (Mrs. Jack Poulsen), David, and Allen. Andrew worked for farmers in the Buffalo Center area and farmed in the Titonka and Rake areas; he died of cancer on August 17, 1978. Susan resides in Bancroft, Iowa."
