"Susan Murra July 27, 1910 - February 3, 2003 Bancroft - Susan Murra was born July 27, 1910, at Buffalo Center, the daughter of Fenno and Pearl (Drake) Bruhns.

She was united in mariage to Andrew Murra on Nov. 20, 1930, at her parent's home. This union was blessed with four children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Susan was an active member of her church community, teaching Sunday school and Bible school for many years. She was also active in mission band. She moved to Bancroft in 1971.

Susan died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at the Heritage Home in Bancroft at the age of 92.

Funeral service for Susan was at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 7, at Community Chapel, Lakota, with the Rev. Ron Wheeler officiating. Casket bearers were Ken Brandt, Ben Murra, Mark Johnson, Jack Renander and Mike Murra. Honorary bearers were Cory Sheldahl and Jay Murra. Interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery, Buffalo Center. Winter Funeral Homes and Cremation was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her four children: Arvilla (and Bill) Smidt of Blue Springs, Mo.; Arlis Poulsen of Bancroft; David (and Margaret) Murra of Bricelyn, Minn.; and Allen (and Beverly) Murra of Vermillion, S.D.; 10 grandchildren and 23great-grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; one brother; one sister; her son-in-law, Jack Poulsen; one grandson, William Jay Smidt; and one great-grandson, Maxwell Johnson."
