Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Wally Vust from the Vust home and from the Tabernacle Baptist church with Rev. Harm Johnson officiating. Internment was made in the First Baptist church cemetery. The Vogelaar Funeral Service of George, had charge of funeral arrangements. Nellie Vust, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stomberg, was born on Aug. 10, 1883, in Grundy county, Iowa. When she ws 5 years old she came with her parents to Lyon County, where she lived on a farm 6 miles west of Little Rock. As a young woman, she came to know the Lord as her personal savior and on April 1907, was baptized by the late Rev. J. Jordan. On Jan. 2, 1911, she was united in marriage to Wally Vust and they settled on a farm southeast of Ellsworth, Minn. This union was blessed with four children. In 1943, they retired and moved to George, Iowa. Mrs. Vust enjoyed good health until a little over a year ago when she suffered a slight stroke from which she recovered quite well, but later, was afflicted with hepititis and other complications. On Nov. 15, she entered the hospital in Rock Rapids where the best of care was given her. She passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1958, having reached the age of 75 years, 4 months and 21 days. She leaves to mourn, her grief stricken husband, two sons, and two daughters, Martin, Correctionville, Iowa, John, Little Rock, Iowa, Frances, Mrs. Maynard Schultz, Mason city, Iowa, Elizabeth, Mrs. Sylvestor Johnson, Ellsworth, Minn, 12 granchildren. Also one brother and six sisters, and many other relatives and friends. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
