Mr. Post passed away early Tuesday, September 30 at the Forest City Community Hospital, Forest City. ... On October 1, 1919, Evert was united in marriage to Anna H. Kettwich at Flanagan, Illinois. Shortly thereafter they moved to the Titonka area where they farmed. Evert and Anna moved to Titonka in 1955, and Evert continued to farm until1962 when he retired. ..." <>

Funeral services for Evert Post, 90, of titonka will be held Friday, October 3 at 1:30 p.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Mr. Post passed away early Tuesday, September 30 at the Forest City Community Hospital, Forest City.

Pastor Kim Peterson will officiate at the services with grandsons, David, James, Kenneth, John Allen, Stephen and Paul Post as casketbearers.

Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by Breen American Legion Post # 465 and Wm F. Kennedy Post #4071. Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home of Titonka is in charge ofarrangements.

Evert Albert Post was born May 25, 1896 at Flanagan, Illinois to John A. and Mentje Baumann Post. He received his education in the Flanagan, IL rural school system. He served his country during World War I in the U.S. Army in Europe

On October 1, 1919, Evert was united in marriage to Anna H. Kettwich at Flanagan, Illinois. Shortly thereafter they moved to the Titonka area where they farmed. Evert and Anna moved to Titonka in 1955, and Evert continued to farm until1962 when he retired.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Titonka, where he served on the Church Council and as cemetery Sexton. He was also a member of the Breen American Legion Post #465, Titonka. He loved to do woodworking and made many niceitems for friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Mrs. Viona Welhousen, Titonka, Melvin of Algona, Arthur of Woden, Ervin of Titonka and Mrs. DeWayne (Berniece) Maass of Lakota. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one brotherAlbert of Flanagan, IL.

Evert was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, September 27, 1982; his parents, 3 sisters and a son-in-law." <>
