Nancy Williams

Possible Wife #3 of David William Alwood

Source: Klaus, Terry, The Family Alwood, (Sacramento, CA, T. Klaus, June MCMXCI), pg. 158, Repository: Dallas TX pub. lib.

Terry writes, "David William Alwood married ... According to some records there was a possible third marriage for David on August 2, 1891, tho I have no name."

Fulton Co OH Marriages 1864 - 1927, (Swanton OH, FCCOGS, MCMXCVI), pg. 2, Repository: Evergreen Lib., Metamora, OH

'Alwood, David - Francisco, Jennie 6 Feb 1874* 3-403 Alwood, David N. - Hout, Nancy 5 Aug 1891 5-376 Alwood, David S.B. - Gatchy, Susan 15 Aug 1865 3-040'

The asterisk behind the date indicates, 'Many entries in this volume have an (*) following the date. This denotes the date of the application as no marriage return was completed. This may mean that the marriage never took place, or thatthere was a simple filing error and the marriage return was not completed.'

I do not know the source of the wedding date given by Terry, but 5 Aug 1891 matches the date in the published index. I am assigning Nancy Hout to the possible 3rd wife of David.

The notation technique indicates a 1st marriage for each.
