Note: Alvin Heidebrink was born to Garret and Edith (Ackerman) Heidebrink on May 23, 1930 at Rushmore, MN. When he was a small child he moved with his family to rural Woodstock, MN where he was raised on the family farm and received hiseducation. On September 24, 1951 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Behrends in Holland, MN. In 1955 he became employed with Joe Stager and Sons Construction. While working for the construction company at the Chandler Air Base inChandler, MN he was involved in a construction accident which left him disabled. At that time they moved in with Gert's parents in Holland. In 1961 they built their own home in Holland; and in 1971 Alvin became involved with the Hope Day Activity Center in Ruthton, MN. In 1991 he began attending Progress in Pipestone. On April 22, 2001 Alvin became a resident of the GoodSamaritan Communites of Pipestone, MN. gert preceded in death on January 2, 2002. On Monday November 12, 2007 Alvin was admitted to the Pipestone County Medical Center where he died on the 13th at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 20days.

Alvin was a member of the First presbyterian Church in Holland. Before his accident he loved to go hunting. since that time he enjoyed bowling and going to ballgames. He is loving remembered by 2 daughters: Patricia and husband jerryDockendorf of Kimball, MN and Diane and husband Randel Brink of Windom, MN; 2 brothers Harm and wife Gert Heidebrink of Clarkfield, MN; and Marvin and wife Caroline Heidebrink of Holland, MN; 2 sisters Gert Zingleman of Holland, MN andDarlene and husband William Carpenter of Lake Benton, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude, his parents, 1 brother Mitch Heidebrink, and 3 sisters Etta O'Hearn, Irene Sumption, and HattieWittrock.
