Note: Julia Bonk, 87, of George died Wednesday january 18, 2006 at the George Good Samaritan Center. Born October 25, 1918 in rural George she was the daughter of Herman and Tillie (Janssen) Duin. She married Frederick E Bonk on September 1,1943 at the Zoar Presbyterian Parsonage. he preceded her in death. She lived her youth around George and attended country school. After marriage they farmed in the George area and owned Bonk's Place in George. They move to Rose City in 1960 and farmed there until 1995 when they moved back to George. Surviving are 1 borther, Herbert Duin, Rushmore and 1 sister Gladys Van Briesen, George. The service will be 1:30 today at Central Baptist Church, George with the Rev. Keith Vik officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. BolinFuneral Service of George is in charge of arrangements.
