JOYCE B. WILLEMSSEN, age 85, of Wilmont, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne. She was born August 26, 1926, in Wilmont, to Otto and Bernice (Smith) Joens. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school in rural Wilmont. Joyce graduated from Worthington High School. After she graduated, she worked for Ben Franklin Variety Store until her marriage.

Joyce married Clifford Willemssen on November 4, 1951, in Wilmont. The couple lived in Wilmont. Joyce worked for the Worthington Regional Hospital as a Dietary Technician for over fourteen years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Wilmont, and was very active in the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Wilmont VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and the Wilmont Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, the Minnesota Twins and spending time with her family & friends.

Joyce is survived by her five children, Clair (Diane) Willemssen, Worthington; Barbara Feit, Mankato; Karen (Michael) Jepsen, Fairmont; Keith (Lori) Willemssen, St. James; and Lori Hintz, Renton, WA; eight grandchildren, Travis & Jordan Willemssen, Scott & Ted Feit, Bethany Hyde, Kelly Jepsen, Jeffery Willemssen & Jessica Hintz; great grandson, Max Willemssen; twin sister, JoAnn Johnson, Adrian; sister, Janice Hansen, Adrian; brother, Jim (Agnes) Jones, Wilmont; brother-in-law, Daniel Scheepstra, Worthington; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Jones, Wilmont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford, in 1998; an infant son, Richard; a son-in-law, James Feit; and a brother, Alan Jones.

Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, in Wilmont, officiated by Rev. Keith Gallagher. Burial will be in the Wilmont Cemetery.
