Note: At his home in Grant Township November 8, 1915 Harm H Spieker age 44 years 5 months and 6 days died. Mr Spieker was born in Germany and came to this country when a young boy,. He spent his boyhood in Florence Station, IL. he was marriedto Miss Fannie Hassebroek in 1892 and moved to this vicinity soon after. His wife, 3 daughters and 4 sons survive him. He also leaves to mourn his loss his aged parents of Florence Station, IL; 3 brothers and 1 sister. The internment wasmade in the Zoar cemetery.

A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends paid their last tribute to his memory by filling the spacious church. 6 of Mr Spieker's brothers in law acted as pallbearers. The services were conducted by Rev L H Hayenga of whosechurch the deceased was a faithful and honored member. Mr Fred Hassebroek of Willow Lake, SD and Mrs David Hassebroek of Castlewood, SD and Mrs Bert Spieker of Florence Station, IL atended the funeral.
