"Allen Groen

SCOTLAND-Allen Groen, Age 75, died Saturday, Apriul 20, in his home in Scotland.

He was born on October 6, 1915, on the family farm north of Olivet in Hutchinson County. After graduation from Olivet High School in 1932, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. in the Black Hills.

On April 19, 1939, he was married to Reva Horn in Olivet. They farmed in the Olivet area until 1970 when they moved to Scotland. He was an agent for German Mutual Insurance Company for 18 years until his retirement in 1988.

A member of Olivet United Methodist Church, he also belonged to Gideon International, Scotland Rotary Club and the Historical Society. He served on the board of the Scotland Good Samaritan Center of several years.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters: Mrs. Merv (Jacqulene) Kramer, Brandon and Jeanette Lothert, Morton, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and three sisters: Twilla Hora, Olivet; Darlene Winter, Holland, Mich.; and Ruth Erbele, Salem, Ore.

Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. today in the United Methodist Church, Olivet. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Scotland.

Petrik-Kelley Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements."
