"Laura Erickson

Laura Erickson, 95, of 3901 S. Marion Rd., died Saturday at Good Samaritan Village.

Laura Giese was born on a farm near Wayne, Neb. After attending college, she taught in Wayne area rural schools. She married Joseph A. Erickson Feb. 10, 1910 in Wayne. They farmed in Lake County, S.D., until moving to Sioux Falls in 1967. Her husband died Dec. 6, 1967.

Survivors include one son, Dr. J.W. Erickson, Sioux Falls; four daughter, Mrs. Dick (Helen) Westall, Edith Erickson, Mrs. Harvey (Ruth) Goeman, all of Sioux Falls, and Neva Erickson, Long Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Lavina) Arends, Melvin, Ill., and Mrs. J. (Ann) Shumway, Harrington, Neb.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the George Boom Funeral Home with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of a donation to Good Samaritan Village."
