"Joseph Erickson

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sauurday at the George Boom Funeral Home for Joseph A. Erickson, 84, of 913 S. Sneve Ave.

Mr. Erickson was dead on arrival at a local hospital Wednesday after suffering a fall at his home, one week after he had moved to Sioux Falls.

He was born Aplril 12, 1883, at Red Oak, Iowa. He grew up there and farmed in southwest Iowa and eastern Nebraska before moving to Davison County, S.D., in 1919. He farmed in Lake County from 1925 until coming to Sioux Falls.

Surviving are his widow; a son. Dr. J. W. Erickson, Sioux Falls; four daughters, Mrs. Dick Westall, Mrs. Harvey Goeman and Edith Erickson, all of Sioux Falls, and Neva Erickson, Long Beach, Calif., nine grandchildren, a great-grandson and a sister Mrs. Hazel Anderson."
