Obituary David A. Kelly Services were held Friday, May 16, from Hayden Funeral home for David A. Kelly, 71, Rev. Robert Sterling officiating. Bearers were Amos Hodgden, John Wosoba, Forest McClure, Fred McClure, Austin Conwell and Chauncey Hodgden. Interment wasin Mayflower cemetery. Mr. Kelly was born Jan. 2, 1876, in Marshalltown and was married in 1900 to Ellen Henderson in Keota. The couple farmed several years, coming to Oxford Junction in 1928. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War. Surviving are the widow, five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Mott of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Ida Petersen of Chicago, Mrs. Helen Dorr and Mrs. Florence Buchanan, both of Belmond Ia., Mrs. Marcella York of Memphis, Mo., two sons, Eugene and Clarence,both of Oxford Junction; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Nathaniel of Los Angeles, Cal, John of North English and Omer of Belmond, and one sister, Mrs. Susan Fuller of Thornburg, Mo. Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. John Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bickford and Mrs. Will Carter of North English, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Henderson and son Milton of Burlington, Kan., Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn York of Memphis,Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Petersen of Chicago, Mrs..........Mrs. Leo Dorr and Omer Kelly of Belmond, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kelly of Moline, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mott of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Phil Snyder and Mrs. Emile Beringer of Monmouth, Mr.and Mrs. kelsey Hanna of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. John VonSprecken and Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Lurch of Olin.
