Eugene Kelley Eugene D. Kelley, 82, a former Oxford Junction businessman, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa. Services were Friday, Sept. 30, in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Oxford Junction. Burial was in Belmond Cemetery, Belmond. The Rev. Eric Kutzh officiated.

Mr. Kelley was born Sept. 13, 1901, at North English to David and Ellen Hendersen Kelley. He attended North English schools. He and Helen Lieuwen were married April 8, 1930, at Meserbey (sic). The couple moved to Oxford Junction where Mr. Kelley operated a rendering company until 1947. He then worked for Petersen Produce and later for Clinton Engines, Maquoketa, until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mark's Church and a former member of the church council. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Rosemary Hamilton of Humboldt; one son, Dennis, of Chalmette, La.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and his parents.
