Mrs. Anko Klaver, longtime resident of the Kamrar community, died Tuesday, Sept. 9 from a very sudden heart condition as she was entering the hospital in Story City on an ambulance cot.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian church east of Kamrar with the Rev. Harold DeVries officiating. Burial will be in the Presbyterian cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Adolph Klaver, John A. Koop, Adolph Welp, Henry Welp, Adolph Jansen, and Fred F. Welp.

Harmka Welp, daughter of Adolph and Hilke Welp, was born March 31, 1879, at Wymeer, Ostfriesland, Germany, and died September 9, 1958, at Story City, Iowa, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 8 days. She came with her parents to Americaat the age of 12 years, locating in the Kamrar community where she was reared and educated.

She was married to Anko Klaver on Sept. 22, 1896. Ten children were born to this union.

She is survived by her children: George A. Klaver, Kamrar; Adolph Klaver, Kamrar; Mrs. Henry (Bina) Klosterbuer, Kamrar; Mrs. Willie (Hilka) Hemmen, Blairsburg; Mrs. George (Jennie) Van Langen, Kamrar; Mrs. Edward (Louise) Smid, Kamrar;Martha at home; Anko at home; Mrs. Roy (Esther) Knutson, Kamrar; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Trampel of Blairsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and threesisters who died in this country, and by two brothers and two sisters who died in Germany.
