Sylvia P. Viers (1912 - 2005) ALVORDTON - Sylvia P. Viers, 93, of Alvordton, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, in her home.

The daughter of Allie May (Ferrenburg) and George Albert Eby, she was born July 7, 1912, in New Madrid, Mo. She was the widow of Andrew J. "Jack" Viers, who preceded her in death in March 1985.

A homemaker, she was a member of the West Fulton Dunkard Brethren Church in Fulton County. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ledyard of Fayette; two sisters, Alberta Armstrong of Wauseon and Vera Armstrong of Morenci, Mich.; 15grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; two sons, Robert and Roger Viers; a grandson, Jerry Viers; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clay and Teb Eby; and four sisters, Maude Butts, Verna Stoltz,Jeanette Poorman and Pauletta Johnson.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the West Fulton Dunkard Brethren Church in Fulton County, with Elder Edward Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Smith Cemetery in Fulton County. Memorials may be made to the West FultonDunkard Brethren Church or to a charity of the donor's choice. ...
