LAST RITES FOR JOHN B PANNKUK HELD LAST FRIDAY
...
At the age of 14 years he came with his parents to Kossuth county and there remained his entire life. On April 16, 1895, he was united in marriage to Miss Lena Schrader, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Schrader. This happy union was blessed with six children, Viz: Ada, Minnie, Alice, John, Raymond and Irvin.

After their marriage the young couple moved to Buffalo Center where they resided for two years. The next 45 years were spent on the farm in German Township. They then retired to their present home. ... He loved his Savior and was at peace with the knowledge that he was ready to leave. More often he requested family prayer with his children which was so comforting.

He was preceded in death by his wife Feb. 18, 1950.
