"Also, I recently talked with Menno Kuper's daughterMildred (Menno was the son of Folkert Harms Kuper - the one born in 1839 and married to Janna Geerds Troff). I had to do quite a bit of "sleuthing" to find her, but she is 85 years oldand living in Florida. She said her Dad didn't talk much about his mother's death because it was so painful for him, but he did say that Janna died on the ship on the way over from Germany. She did not know about Ella, but Mildred was born (1925) after Ella died (1914) and apparently her Dad, Menno, did not talk about Ella... Ella was married to Folkert, though, because I found them on the census information, and, also, Ella's daughter, Aleada (Leida) Nieman fromElla's first marriage married Harm Kuper (Folkert's - 1939) son (born in 1865."
