'Mrs. Thelma Stadler CASTALIA - Services are pending at the Andres-Tucker Funeral Home, Sandusky, for Thelma Stadler, 78, who died early today in a fire at her home at 7706 Parker Road.

Mrs. Stadler was a native of Castalia, born March 1, 1899, to the late William H. and Sarah E. (Collins) Havice. Her husband James I. died in 1960. Also preceding her were three sons, two killed in 1975 in a plane crash in the State ofOregon, ...

'David and John Stadler SANDUSKY - A joint memorial mass will be said in St. Mary's Church, Sandusky, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for David and John Stadler, Castalia.

David Stadler, 43, 7708 Parker Road, and John Stadler, 39, 5516 Deyo Road, borh of Castalia, were killed along with David Lamb, 39, Bellevue, when their light plane crashed in woods near Drain, Ore., in mid-February. Searches for thewreckage of the plane proved fruitless. Last week, a deer hunter accidently discovered the crash site.

David Stadler was an employe of Dunbar and Sullivan Co., Cleveland. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Ticonderoga. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Sandusky; and the Knights of Columbus andAMVETS in Castalia.

John Stadler was a sheet metal worker out of Local 107, Sheet Metal Workers Union, Vermillion. He was a member of St. Mary's Chuirch, Sandusky, and Aerie 490 of the Eagles, Bellevue.

Both men are survived by their mother, Velma Stadler, Castalia; two brothers, William J. Stadler, Elmira, Ore., whom the three men were flying to meet when their plane crashed, and Robert E. Stadler, Atlanta, Ga.; and a sister, Mrs.Raymond (Eileen) Ballash, Seven Hills, Ohio.

In addition, surviving John Stadler are his widow, the former Kathleen Dewey; three sons, John E., David T., and Edward J. Stadler; and four daughters, Theresa Louise, Patricia Lynn, Kathleen Ann and Kristine Marie Stadler, all at home.

The men were preceded in death by their father, James; a brother James L.; and two sisters, Catherine and Alice Stadler.

The Rev. Charles Dendinger will officiate at the Wednesday mass. Disposition of the remains will be kept private, according to the Andres-Tucker Funeral home, Inc., Sandusky.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the donor's favorite charity.'
