"Troy Jon Heidecker, 22

Funeral services for Troy Jon Heidecker, 22, of Lakota were held Saturday morning, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. Tony Kluender officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery with WinterFuneral Home in charge of arrangements. Troy died Wednesday, April 15, 1992 at University of Minnesota Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota after an illness.

Cheryl Baumann was the organist and Jonathan Pilgrim was soloist. Casketbearers were Randy Melz, Brandon Melz, Paul Heidecker, Carey Melz, Larry Mountain and Deron Heidecker.

Honorary casketbearers were Joe Larson, Doug Swanson, Dan Olson, James Haugen, Rad Goeke, Pat Kahler, Jim Hanken, Jason Hauan, Lee Brandt, Shawn Adams, Jeremy Becker and Brian Becker.

Troy Jon Heidecker was born May 25, 1969 to Ivan and Janell (Heitland) Heidecker in Buffalo Center, Iowa. He resided in Lakota for the majority of his life.

He graduated from Buffalo Center-Rake High School in 1988. He graduated from NIACC in 1991. He then furthered his education at Iowa State in Ames where he was majoring in fisheries and wildlife biology.

Anyone knowing Troy knew he was a hard working, determined and an outgoing individual. He enjoyed hunting, a wide variety of sports and most of all spending time with family and friends. His positive outlook on life brought many lastingmemories, ones that we will never forget.

Troy is survived by his parents, Ivan and Janell of Lakota, Iowa; one sister, Tracy and husband, Jeff Johnson of Ledyard; one brother Tim of Lakota; a nephew, Tyler and a niece, Tara Jo. He is also survived by his grandparents Joe andRuth Heitland of Buffalo Center; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends." <>
