He came to the USA from 1893-1903. He shows up on the 1905 SDState Census in Scotland, Bon Homme County, South Dakota. It said he had been in the US and SD for 7 years. He lived as a farmer most of his adult life in Jefferson township, McCook County, SD. His family attended the Zion EvangelicalLutheran Church in Bridgewater, also in McCook County. Much of that family's vital records appears in: 75th ANNIVERSARY, ZION EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH AND LADIES AID, 1893-1968, Bridgewater, SD, 1968, 35 p.
