"Richard Clay Obituary

CLAY Richard L. Richard L. Clay, age 79, of Delta, passed away Monday morning, October 15, 2007, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born in Delta, Ohio on September 30, 1928, to the late Robert S. Clay Sr. and Mae (Neilson) Clay. Richard was a pipe fitter with Dunbar Mechanical for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Local #50. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Robert S. Clay Jr. and an infant great- granddaughter, Payton Lyn Bates. He is survived by his sons, David (Sandy) Clay of Waterville, Jim (Lynne) Clay of Delta, Eric (Laura) Clay of Bradenton, FL and Loren (Rose) Clay of Valparaiso, IN; brother, Burley (Alice) Clay of Toledo; sisters, Ruth Germain of Toledo and Anna Mae Waidlich of Wauseon; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta; where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Pastors David Dick and Burley Clay will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta. Contributions may be made to the Delta Public Library, 402 Main St., Delta, Ohio 43515 in his memory. Online condolences may be sent to the family at: www.barnesfuneralchapel.com
