Dolores, 77, of Vermontville, passed away on July 27, 2013. She was born to Loran and Laura (Eno) Hollister at Maple Grove, MI.

She attended school in Bellevue and graduated from Hastings High School in 1953. On June 20, 1953 she married Ernest Herman at the Vermont-ville Bible Church.

Dolores was a member of Vermontville Bible Church, the Bellevue Alumni Association Class of 1953, Women's Christian Temperance Union. She also loved to sew quilts, figure crossword puzzles and she loved to sing. One of the children's fondest memories was playing baseball in the backyard with Dolores; and her macaroni cheese, potato salad, and apple pie.

Dolores is survived by her 2 daughters, Ruth Elaine(Tim) Bus of Kalamazoo, MI, and Karen Sue ( Bart) Dempsey of Vermontville, MI; son, Stephen (Carol) Brent Herman of Wahoo, NE; 3 sisters, Nancy Edwards of Hastings, MI, Reta Leinaar of Delton, MI, Susan McLinden of Saline, MI; 3 brothers, Rudy McPherson of Kenosha, WI, Loren Alvah Hollister of NC, Thomas Hollister of Dundee, MI.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest, her brother, Gary McPherson, and granddaughter Andrea Dempsey.

Pray Funeral Home, Inc., Charlotte, Michigan.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Vermontville Bible Church, with Rev. Dan Smith, officiating.
