MARTINSVILLE — Frederick William McCord, 64, Martinsville, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in Martinsville.

He was born on Jan. 2, 1938, in Elwood.

He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1988, after 31 years service. He also was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. His wife, Edna Maxine McCord, is deceased.

Surviving are his first wife, Betty McCord; three daughters, Cynthia Ellis, Rebecca McCord and Mahailey McCord; two sons, Frederick William McCord and Christopher Justice; four stepchildren, Glenda White, Larry Justice, Rod Justice and Bruce Justice; seven brothers, Howard Wagner, Les McCord, Virgil McCord, Charlie McCord, Frank McCord, Jerry McCord and Ernest McCord; and five sisters, Caroline Sue Hall, Hazel Carpenter, Peggy Learned, Anna Lycan and Marilyn McCord; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral center.
