Obituary, newspaper fragment Aug 1916

'Prince Albert Viers oldest son of Elisha and Amarancy Viers was born in Lucas Co. now Fulton May 30, 1850, and departed this life at his home in Ottokee, August 10th, 1916 aged 66 years, 2 months, and 10 days. On July 4th, 1872 he wasmarried to Anne Virginia Pugh. Four children were born to them two of whom Mrs. Charles Rees of Delta and James W. of this place are living.

June 25th 1913 the angel of death came and took the wife and mother into its own keeping. Mr. Viers lived the most of his life in Ottokee and on Thursday August 10th, after weeks and months of patient suffering he answered the finalsummons and peacefully entered into that sleep that known no awakening until the resurrection morn.

There are left to mourn the daughter and son, six grand children, two sisters, a brother besides many relatives and a large circle of friends and acquaintances.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the church, his pastor Rev. Barker officiating and the remains laid to rest in the Salsberry Cemetery.'
