Clarion (PA) DEMOCRAT - July 16, 1914

William S. Corbett

This community was greatly shocked last Friday, July 10, 1914, when the news of the death of Mr. William S. Corbett of New Bethlehem was received here notwithstanding it was known that he was seriously ill and his death was not unexpected.

The deceased was the youngest of eight brothers, sons of Samuel T. and Ruth Corbett, and his death makes the first break in this remarkable family. The surviving brothers are C. Lee, Jared and A. G., of Clarion; Samuel B. and James M. of New Bethlehem; Frank S., of Clarion township, and Nelson of Corsica.

The deceased was a man of the highest type of citizenship and held the esteem of all as an honorable and upright business man.

He was a faithful memeber of the Presbyterian church and was also a member of the Masonic fraternity.

He was married to Miss Priscilla McClellan and she with one son, F. Clyde, who was in business with his father, survive him to mourn their great loss.

The funeral took place last Monday, his pastor, Rev. F. W. Hays, conductiing the services and his brethren of the Masonic order used their impressive ritual services at the grave.
