Ralph Gritters was born Sept. 22, 1878, in the Netherlands. At the age of 17 he came to this country with his parents. They came to Orange City and lived around Boyden for one year. With his parents he moved to the vicinity of Hull and has lived there all the time except two years, when he lived in Lynden, Washington.him in death.ie October 22, 1951, at Pine Rest and funeral services were held at the Protestant Reformed church on Oct. 26. Burial was at Hope cemetery.
