Biography

   Awald Brantner was born Jan. 31, 1926. He was the fourth child born to Frank and Emma (Pichler) Brantner of Albany Township, Pepin Co., WI, and grew up working on the family farm.

   @1948 he was married to Bernice Hayden. They had nine children. He passed away March 19, 1993.

   He was survived by wife, Bernice Brantner; children: Shirley (John) Smith of Eau Galle, Sandy (Bernie) Weiss of Mondovi, Cindy (Glen) Grisim of Northfield, MN, Kevin Brantner of Mondovi, Dawn (Jim) Ulwelling of Eau Claire, Tom Brantner (special friend, Janet) of Mondovi and Jeff Brantner of Mondovi; sisters, Isabel Werlein, Lucy Berger, Donna Carothers, Dorothy Olson; and brothers, Levern Brantner, Sr., and Frank Brantner, Jr.

   He was preceded in death by sons, Gary Brantnerand David Brantner in 1953; father, Frank Brantner in 1986; mother, Emma Brantner in 1988; brothers, Adolph Brantner in 1931, Hubert Brantner; and sisters, Erma Brantner in 1924, and Bernice Brantner.
