Selma Rosetta Isidora heeft in de tweede wereldoorlog Egmond moeten verlaten en haar werk met kwetsbare kinderen niet mogen voortzetten en niet langer mogen leven in de duinen bij de zee.

Nadat ze op last van de Duitsers eerst op non-actief was gesteld en daarna ontslagen, keerde ze in 1941 terug naar haar ouderlijk huis in Zeeland. Een jaar later worden Selma en haar ouders gedwongen naar Amsterdam te verhuizen.

Op 03 september 1942 wordt Selma op transport gesteld naar Westerbork en op 14 september 1942 wordt ze weggevoerd naar Auschwitz (PL). Daar wordt ze drie dagen later (17 september 1942) vermoord.
