Biography

Corporal Douglas Stewart Harrower, 2878132, was 25 when he lost his life.

He was married to Isabel Harrower who passed away at the age of 90 years old. She was born in Ottawa, but was living in Keith, Moray in Scotland when she married Douglas Harrower. He and Isabel had three children, Douglas, Stewart and Eleanor. Isabel never re-married after his death. She raised her three children alone. All three of his children are still living. Eleanor has said that she was 3 years old when she heard her father had died in the war and she has lived with the sadness of not having a dad, all her life. Eleanor's family lived in Keith, Moray in Scotland initially but all moved to the lower mainland of Vancouver, Canada many years ago.
