1. Katherine, bp. 7 Mar. 1714, Wemyss p., wit: Patrick Leishman, Wm. Hutton [163]. M. 14 Apr. 1739, Wemyss p., Robert King, of Scoony p. [166]. Her second son, Robert, and second dau., Elizabeth, could relate to naming custom. Their first three children were bp. in Scoonie p., and the rest in Inveresk p. It is believed the family moved from Scoonie p. after the parents' son, Robert, was bp. there 27 May 1744 [165] and bef. 17 Aug. 1747, when their dau., Elizabeth, was bp. in Inveresk p. Robt. King was shown as a pittman at this bp. [151]. This was also the time of the war with England. Robt. King witnessed at bps. of children of both ms. of Wm. Lindsay, brother of Katherine.
