Chaim-David from Kfar Menachem recalls: David Shaich wanted to immigrate to Israel but the Kibbutz (Kfar Menachem?) didn't accept him, eventually he stayed in the USA. His wife Rachel was the first to immigrate to the USA and she brought the others later. She was an artist and a painter. When Chaim-David immigrated, he went to the ship from the house of Rachel and David. David was an insurance agent. Before the depression he owned a department store, but lost it.
