    We say goodbye to one of the greats.
    The Nyhuis Family wishes to announce the passing of Antonius 'Tony' Nyhuis.
    Tony was born on December 20, 1929 in the Netherlands and passed away surrounded by his family on 9/12/14.
    Tony arrived in the US in 1956 and married his beloved Lamona in 1958.
    Tony patiently awaits his wife of 56 years, his daughters Marguerite, Jennifer, Mary and Antonia, Sons-in-law Kenneth and
    Rock, and Grandchildren Katrina, Anthony, Brooke, Thomas, Jacob, Carson, Zack and Haley and great granddaughter Sophia.
    If you knew Tony, you knew he was the consummate storyteller and jokester.
    He had his family laughing to the end. A source of great pride to all that knew him.
    And most importantly, he loved his wife with a fire not common.
    He is and will be, remembered and missed. Godspeed Dad. Until we meet again.

    Tomorrow we will be laying my Dad to rest at South Rock, his favorite fishing hole...although I don't think many fish were caught there! I knew a Ton Nijhuis who spent 1953/1954 illegally in the US.
After Ellis Island and deportation, we both returned legally.
He was the first patient treated for kidney failure on dialysis in Holland.
Worked at GM. If this is my best friend please contact me.
