    WAUPUN - Walter Pluim, 91, uit Waupun, stierf op vrijdag 5 oktober 2007 in Waupun Memorial Hospital in Waupun. Walter werd geboren op 16 november 1915 in de stad Waupun, de zoon van Henry G. en Martha (Harmsen) Pluim. In maart 1939 trouwde hij met Eunice Hyink. Walter en Eunice hebben het grootste deel van hun huwelijksleven in het Waupun-gebied gekweekt.

    Het paar trok zich terug uit de landbouw in 1978. Eunice ging Walter ter dood op 19 februari 1979. Op 16 november 1979 trouwde hij met Jeanette Hull in Fond du Lac. Ze woonden in Fond du Lac tot de dood van Jeanette in 1994, waarna Walter terugkeerde naar Waupun.

    Walter wordt overleefd door twee zonen, Melvin (Janice) Pluim, Waupun en Robert A. Pluim, Waupun; drie dochters, Edna (Robert) Southard, Guntersville, Ala., Donna (Wayne) Breselow, Cable, Wis., en Kathy (Chuck) Oppermann, Fox Lake; 15 kleinkinderen, 24 achterkleinkinderen en twee achterkleinkinderen; twee broers, Harold (Mildred) Pluim, Waupun en Clarence (Barbara) Pluim, Brandon; een zuster, Catherine Vande Slunt, Brandon; en een schoonzus, Phyllis Pluim, Waupun.

    Walter werd voorafgegaan door de dood van zijn twee vrouwen, Eunice en Jeanette; een zoon, Wayne Pluim; een achterkleinzoon, Bryant Pluim; een kleinzoon, Don Katsma; twee broers, George Pluim en Martin Pluim, en een zus, Gladys Pluim.

    Begrafenisdiensten werden gehouden op maandag 8 oktober om 11 uur in het uitvaartcentrum Werner-Harmsen in Waupun met de Revs. Chuck Oppermann en Talman Wagenmaker officiating. Begrafenis gevolgd in Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Vrienden en familieleden riepen zondagavond van 6 tot 20 uur en maandag bij de uitvaartdienst van 10 tot 11 uur diensttijd.
