    Funeral services were conducted at 11 o'clock Wednesday, January 23, 1985 at the Paris-Fredrick Morturary in El Cajon, CA, for Charlie A. Jencks. Burial was at the El Cajon, CA cemetary.
    Charlie was born April 5, 1933 near Cheyenne, OK and passed away January 19, 1985 at the age of 51 years, 9 months and 14 days.
    Charlie and his family had lived in El Cajon for 28 years. Charlie was a systems technician for Pacific Bell Telephone Company for 30 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Independant Order of Forresters. He retired in 1985. Charlie joined the National Guard when he was 17 years old and served 8 years. He was also a Boy Scout leader.
    Surviving are his wife, Joyce, and 1 daughter, Patty Jencks of El Cajon; one son, Clifford, and his wife, Margaret Jencks of Alpine, CA; 2 grandchildren, his parents, Verne and Nettie Jencks, Elk City, OK; 3 brothers, Evert Jencks, Elk City, OK; J.T. Jencks, Kuna, ID; and Steve Jencks, Naperville, IL; 7 sisters: Margarette Baker, Houston, TX; Marie Ferguson, Sayre, OK; Rose Sweetman and Louise Schweyer, Winston, NM; Christene Jones, Weatherford, OK; Opal Woods and Sherlene Cook, Elk City, OK
