Notes about Johan Caspar PARAVICINI di CAPELLI

Op 17-jarige leeftijd was hij reeds onderluitenant in de compagnie van zijn vader; in 1774 werd hij 1e luitenant; in 1781 kapitein-luitenant; in 1787 kapitein; in 1793 majoor; in 1795 luitenant-kolonel en Inspecteur-generaal over de geschutgieterijen en de magazijnen. Hij was minder Oranjegezind dan zijn vader. In 1803 werd hij benoemd tot kolonel-chef van het wapen der Artillerie. In 1806 werd hij generaal-majoor wat hij tot 1807 bleef. Na enige maanden non-actief te zijn geweest, werd hij bij de reorganisatie van 1808 aangesteld tot Inspecteur van de Artillerie der marine. Kort daarna ging hij met pensioen.
