    Ezra H. Montanye, 60, Dies After Brief Illness
    Canajoharie - Ezra Montanye, 60, of 33 Reed street died Saturday morning in Amsterdam City Hospital where he had been a patient 16 days.
    He was born in Esperance September 25, 1891, son of Stephen D. and Cora B. Stiles Montanye.  He had lived in this village since 1943 and had been recently employed at Flume and Fuller's, Palatine Bridge. Previously he had lived 22 years in Rural Grove.
    Mr. Montanye was a member of the Canajoharie Methodist Church, Mapletown grange, Montgomery County Pomona grange, and Canajoharie lodge, IOOF.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lefa M. Montanye; two sons, Frank D., Marshville, and Harold Montanye, Walnut street; one brother, Robert Montanye, Schenectady, and five sisters, Mrs. Ida Stanton, Schenectady, Mrs. Georgana Briggs, Mrs. Anna Mead, and Mrs. Eva Joshway, Amsterdam, Mrs. Clara Baldwin, Unadilla.
    The funeral service will be held at the Lenz funeral home Tuesday at 1 p.m.  Rev. Charles E. Schwartz, pastor of the Methodist Church, will officiate.  The body will be placed in the Canajoharie Falls cemetery vault until burial in the spring in the Charleston Four Corners cemetery.
