    Mrs. Montanye
    Canajoharie--A service will be held for Mrs. Elizabeth J. Montanye, 69, of Greenhedge Drive, Orange City, Fla., formerly of Canajoharie, who died Tuesday [2 Jul 1991] at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA, while on vacation.
    Born in Nellison, Mrs. Montanye was a graduate of Cherry Valley High School.  She moved to Florida in 1984, previously residing in Canajoharie since 1942.
    For 28 years, Mrs. Montanye was a machine operator and later a clerical worker for Life Savers before retiring in 1984.  She also helped establish the Life Savers plant in Puerto Rico during an 18-month assignment.
    Mrs. Montanye was a member of the Marshville Evangelical Church.  She also was a member of the Windy Ridge Home Bureau of Canajoharie and the Life Savers 25 Year Club.
    Survivors include her husband, Frank D Montanye, whom she married May 29, 1942; three daughters, Marie M. Bruce of Greensburg, and Frances E. Drumm and Maureen E. Nestle, both of Canajoharie; a sister, Alvada Bouck of Gloversville; a brother, William T. Jones of Fultonville; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
    The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street.  Burial will be in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery at a later date.  Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshville Evangelical Church or to charity.
