Notes about William Taylor Ward

Enlisted in the 61st Illinois Volunteers Regiment on Nov. 12, 1864.
I found William Ward listed as an Intruder in correspondence from the Honorable Chief of The Great Chickasaw Nation to the Secretary of Interior in 1895.
The oral history of the Family is that William T Ward was widowed in 1869, Cynthia was to have fallen down stairs and died from her injuries.There are rumors that he married again around 1870 and started a new family, in the Indian Nations There are, so far,  no records to prove these statements, however, a copy of Francis T Ward's marriage filling in Jersey Co.ILL. states that Cynthia died from fall down stairs and that she was his mother.William T. Ward was a wittness to the ceremony of marriage Rights to Francis Ward and Julia A. Steed.
