Pieter wordt, net als zijn vader, genoemd als slachter te Oud Loosdrecht. Op 14 november 1784 verzoekt hij het Gerecht van Loosdrecht om te mogen slachten: "

Aan den Edel Achtbare Gerechte van Loosdrecht" Geeft met Schuldige onderdanigheijt tekennen den ondergeteekenden Pieter Kroock woonende in de oude Loosdrecht dat hij Suppliant sedert verschijden jaaren zijnen vader hebbende geadsisteerd in het slachten van Rundvee Schapen en Varkens bij en voor den burger en opgesetene dezer dorpe den- Suppliant (gemerkt het gering getal slagers in de oude Loosdrecht) die affaire geerne voort voor eijgen rekening zoude doen en vrijheijd te hebben om bij den burger te mogen slachten aller leije slachtvee te mogen snijden of bloetritsen dan hiertoe vooraf nodig hebbende acte van admissie van U Edel Achtbare .....Etc. was gete. Pieter Krook"(G.A.L. inv. nr 21b fol 149).
