- Beerent Krook out 7 jaar, heeft gewoont aan de Ebbingestraat en heeft aldaar het knoopmaken gedaan, de moeder laatst overleeden, angenoomen in 't Borger Weeshuis op 27 November 1758. Hij is 11 Februari 1771 weggelopen maar later weer in het weeshuis aangenomen. Hij bedankt de voogden op 9 Mei 1774. Hij ontvangt een erfportie van wijlen Thomas Hofflander f 89-8-0-
- Burgerwees Berend Krook brengt diverse vrouwen in contact met zijn broer de burgertamboer Johannes Krook. die een "oneerlijk huis" houdt. Bron: Ioeg. 1534 inv.nr. 2829 datum 21.09-1767 Groninger Archieven.
- Zo werd 'op aansoek van Berent Krook mede borger wese, Renske Harkema een bezoek gebracht aan het huis van diens broeder Johannes Krook en daar met een manspersoon vleeselijke conversatie heeft gehouden en beswangert is; welke ombetamelijk conduite anderen ten exempel moet worden gestraft. Clementie wordt betoond..., omdat zij zich bevorens altijd wel hebbe gedragen en haar berouw heeft getoont door nimmermeer aldaar in dergelijke suspecte huisen sich te laten vinden....zo wordt zij van alle voorrechten van het borgerweeshuis vervallen verklaard, zal 67 maanden op 8 st. daags op de Aapoorte blijven geconfineerd, zulks een behoorlijke tijd na de bevallinge ingaande'.
