Huis ·ÄúDe Weele·Äù te Boekelo.

In 1883 moet hij zijn ouders laten weten dat hij niet tot het eindexamen van het Technikum Mittweida is toegelaten.

Samen met zijn broer Hendrik Jan Engelbert (Henny) drijft hij de Boekelose Stoombleekerij.

Op 23 augustus 1900 krijgt W.H. van Heek vergunning No. 279 voor het rijden op rijkswegen met een auto op benzine.
Op 19 october 1903 krijgt W.H. van Heek vergunning No. 1174 voor het rijden op rijkswegen met een auto op benzine.
Van 8 october 1901 tot 1 augustus 1907 is hij Kapitein-commandant van de Dienstdoende Schutterij te Enschede, met de rank van Majoor vanaf 25 juli 1903.

Over De Weele: ·Äúde Weele·Äù werd gebouwd als buitenhuis voor mijn grootouders, Willem Helmig van Heek en zijn vrouw, Margot van Heek-Jannink. De architect was Samuel de Clerq; hij bouwde ook voor de familie Jannink, de Holterhof¬â€  in Enschede. De bouw begon omstreeks 1910; in de westgevel van het huis staat het jaartal 1913; in 1916 werd aan de achterzijde een kleine wijziging aangebracht; toen de familie van Heek permanent op ·Äúde Weele·Äù ging wonen in 1925 werd aan de westzijde een aanbouw gepleegd met een salon en op de verdieping een werkkamer. Na de 2e wereldoorlog werd deze aanbouw weer verwijderd en het huis werd voor twee families ingericht. De naam ·Äúde Weele·Äù¬â€  zou verwijzen naar de boerenfamilie ter Weele, bewoners van een afgebroken boerderij in de buurt van het huis.
