    HOOPER---Uldrick 'Orick' Buckway, 70, died Friday November 5, 1993 at his home. He was born October 31, 1923 in Ogden, a son of Jacob and Anneke Opheikins Buckway. He married Thelma Helen Watkins on February 14, 1946 in Ogden. She died March 18, 1970. He had lived in Riverdale for 18 years, West Ogden for 9 years and in Hooper for 37 years. He was a graduate of Weber High School. He was an Elder in the LDS Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army. Mr. Buckway retired from Hill Air Force Base where he had been employed as a carpenter. He had also farmed in Hooper. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting, and also loved his horses. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Ralph J. Buckway (Suzanne), West Piont; Paul H. Buckway (Linda), Hooper; Wilbur A. Monterith (Jeanie), Colorado Springs, Colorado; Florence Ann Perry (Richard), West Point; Judy Lynn Steed (Brent), Las Vegas, Nevada; Betty Joyce Saxton (Gordon), Ogden; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and six sisters, John Buckway, Malta, Idaho; Joe Buckway, Shoshone, Idaho; Kenneth Buckway, Ogden; George Buckway, Watsonville, California; Nellie Sammons, Knoxville, Tennessee; Deana Sterns, Graham, Washington; Renske Shelton, Ogden; Anna Peusthol, Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Josephina Thomas, Ogden; Louise Schleinz, Marysville, California. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist 's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment Washington Heights Memorial Park.
