Genealogy De Bruine Duiveland
The website is built with the surnames De Bruine-Van der Weele and Kik-Van de Velde, the grandparents of the author's father and mother.
Most of those ancestors come from the islands of Schouwen-Duiveland and Tholen.
The names of:
- the nobility working on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland from previous centuries,
- the workers from Bruinisse in the year 1811 (with the exception of 6 people),
- them and the ancestors of ‘The Ten of Renesse’, (see sources),
- the victims of the 1953 flood disaster from the book ‘Tortured Soil’ from 1958 a number of places (see sources).
This publication contains the lineage of Seger Abrahamse van de Velde from Dreischor.
The lineage of Jacob Claesse of the Thool family Van de Velde is also included.
