Omdat de kinderen gedoopt zijn op de Predikherenstatie in Nijmegen mag je aannemen dat de familie gewoond heeft in Nijmegen.

Roepnaam: Willem.
Als zijn moeder overlijdt in 1817 blijkt zij in 1800 een testament te hebben opgemaakt, waarin alleen haar eigen kinderen worden genoemd.
Voor de notaris moeten echter alle bezittingen van Albertus Cornelissen, de vader, overleden in 1803, onder alle kinderen worden verdeeld.
Willem's aandeel in het testament van zijn moeder:

2e. Aan Willem Albers, in het hoofd deze sub No. 1 genoemd:
a. De helft van een parceel bouwland, groot ongeveer twee morgen, gelegen aan den Hoogen weg, in de biezen, onder Hees, bij de massa sub No. 2 nader omschreven, voor de aldaar uitgetrokken som van elf honderd en vijf en dertig Guldens, zegge----1135.--.-
b. Een parceel bouwland, zijnde de helft van negen hond, gelegen onder den berg, in den Pulsenberg onder Hees, bij de massa sub No. 3 nader bepaald, voor de aldaar
uitgetrokken som van acht honderd en veertig Guldens 840.--.-¬
Tezamen uitmakende eene some van negentien honderd en vijf en zeventig Guldens 1975.--.-¬
Zoo zal hij uitkeeren, en bij de boedelspenningen storten, om daarmede de te kleine loten te suppleren, eene som van negen honderd twee en zestig Guldens, eenen stuiver, tien en twee derde penning962. 1. 10 2/3

En uiteindelijk wordt zijn erfenis in 1817 bepaald als volgt:
