Oct. 12, 1931 Matheson Elbert County Colorado, USA Death: Sep. 13, 2006 Wheat Ridge Jefferson County Colorado, USA Beulah Fern Ferree was born October 12 1931 in rural Elbert County, 4 miles south and 2 miles east of Matheson, Colorado on the Ferree Family homestead. She was the oldest daughter and third child born to Vern and Pauline (Smith) Ferree. She attended rural Elbert County, Colorado schools. After the death of her mother on July 5 1937, she, and her two older brothers, was taken to the Odd Fellows Home in Canon City, Colorado. She stayed there until her father married Mrs LouAnna Noy French, in June of 1939, which made it possible for him to retrieve his three children and take them home. Times were hard for Beulah, as the Ferree children were the topic of many quarrels between her father and stepmother. After the death of her father on May 29 1941, she was left to the care of her stepmother. Beulah ran away from home one night in 1942, but decided to return about midnight of the same night. On December 7 1947, she married George Edward Noy in Brighton, Colorado. George was the brother of LouAnna Noy French Ferree Wilson. To this union four daughters were born. George passed away in 1973. On June 30 1979, Beulah married Cecil Andrew Nicholas. They were married for three years when Cecil passed away in 1982. She never owned a home. She knew what tough times were all about but Beulah never lost faith in the Lord. She went to meet her Savior on September 13 2006 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado at Collier Hospice. Her funeral was on September 18 2006 at the Romero Chapel in Denver, Colorado with Pastor Carl Euglow officiating. Beulah left three of her daughters to morn her death; Fern Noy, Viola (Paul) LaGrand and September (Brian) Torpy; five grandchildren, Heath (Kimberly), Jamie (James), Nicole, Nora (Ben) and Devin; and two great-grandchilren, Colten and Amara; two brothers, Herbert Ferree and Paul Pearson; two sisters, Delores Street and Gladys Page; several nephews and nieces and cousins. Both of her husbands; her parents; one brother, Phillip Ferree and one daughter, Grace Noy preceded Beulah in death. She was laid to rest at the Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont, Colorado.
