Contents of the data file. During my research, various side paths have been registered via relatives, in-laws and witnesses in the expectation and hope to get further where a trail ends, or to outline someone's origins and environment.
Almost all of them have lived within the current Dutch borders for the past 350 years. They regularly originated from the (Dutch-speaking) German and Belgian border regions. A few came from northern France or a little further away in Germany and very occasionally from England and southern Scandinavia.

Source references are listed by default as a note to a date or as comments to professions and home addresses.
Where authentic primary documents are lacking, data from various secondary sources have sometimes been conditionally adopted if they provide a reasonably reliable indication for further investigation. So they are not yet facts! Data without a location is by definition not reliable, so do not copy it in that case. It is my intention to prove each data with an authentic source. But also authentic sources regularly contain provable errors. Incidentally, a substantiated hypothesis is used for gaps in archives.

Particulars from deeds are included in the remarks field for place names.

Personal additions and explanations to data from deeds are between [square brackets].
To be able to link children with each other if the names of the parent(s) are still unknown, the father or mother is provisionally indicated with an X and Y.

Photos: it is my ambition to be able to give a face to as many people as possible. They are often cropped out of old group photos. For better or more recent photos I would be happy to recommend, including images that give a nice impression of the lives of those involved. In the meantime I keep looking for relevant illustrations in the mass of photos that have been left to me. I am happy to give away some of them to people who are closer to the people pictured.

Corrections and additions are always welcome. A family tree is just a relationship diagram. In the future I want to add more memories and explanations that make stories from this diagram.

Privacy: persons who are still alive or who are unknown to have died, are not published, except with explicit permission.
