Hey there!

I´m actually searching the jewish roots of my family!

They came mainly from Açores in Portugal and the most common surnames are:

Correa (Correia) Taborda Brum Alves Ferraz Ely

The Correia do Rego are, originally, from Portugal.

The Taborda, probably, jews from Spain that flew to Portugal.

The Brum are direct descendents of Wilhelm van der Bruyn (Bruijn or van der Haagen) from Maastricht which immigrated to Madeira with his Father.

The Ely are probably a german jewish family which came to Brazil in 1829. Descendents of Jacob Casper Ely from Birkenfeld, Germany.

They mixed with the Alves (Alvares Ferraz) from Portugal in Brazil.

Any information is welcome!

I speak german, english, portuguese and understand dutch.

Fell free to contact me.
