Volckert Jansz trouwde Mary Claas en teelde twee kinderen, nagetrout aan Aaf Jans en teelde 1 kindt. Volckert Jansz voorn. Balling om de Gereformeerde Religie is met Hans Colterman, die Commissie hadde van de Prins van Orangie Ao.1572 van Embden naar Enchuysen wedergekeert gelijk P.Bor verhaalt.
In 1567 er van beschuldigd, "dat hy sijn kind tegen d'ordre der kerk hadt laten doopen" en vlucht uit de stad (Brandt Deel I blz. 131 ev.) 18-5-1571 ingeschreven in burgerboek van Emden, in november 1572 met Aef Jansdr. "syn huysvrou" als lidmaat van de Gereformeerde Kerk Enkhuizen vermeld.
